Our Story

About the Founders

Chelsie Huval, MS, CCC-SLP
Chelsie is a speech-language pathologist with extensive experience working with adults impacted by brain injury, stroke, dementia, dysphagia, aphasia, apraxia, and cognitive-communication challenges. Throughout her clinical career, she recognized a consistent gap in care once formal therapy services end—leaving individuals and families without continued guidance, education, or meaningful community engagement.

NeuroCollective grew from Chelsie’s commitment to bridging that gap by creating a space where rehabilitation-informed support, education, and real-life application can continue in a way that feels accessible, empowering, and personable. Her work emphasizes functional skills, cognitive readiness, and community reintegration, while honoring each individual’s goals, identity, and lived experience.Chelsie believes grace and understanding are a key component to successful recovery. Chelsie enjoys challenging her patients within functional real world scenarios and including families within the recovery process.

NeuroCollective was founded through a shared belief that healing, growth, and quality of life are best supported when care extends beyond traditional models. Our work is grounded in the understanding that neurological health, wellness, and community connection are deeply intertwined—and that individuals deserve support that honors the whole person.

Kimberly Thibeaux, RN, HWNC-BC, CBIS

For Kimberly, caring for neurological disorders is about more than clinical protocols; it’s about understanding the complex, beautiful systems that make us human. With a "colorful" 13-year nursing background ranging from home health to trauma-informed coaching, Kimberly has developed an extraordinary perspective that allows her to "zoom in" on specific clinical needs while "zooming out" to view the survivor's entire life landscape.

As a double board-certified Holistic Nurse and Health and Wellness Nurse Coach, and a Certified Brain Injury Specialist, Kimberly’s mission is to alleviate the stress impact on both the survivor and their loved ones. She believes true wellness requires a whole-body approach—one that prioritizes nervous system regulation, balance, and longevity.

By weaving this integrative nursing approach into the fabric of NeuroCollective, Kimberly helps individuals understand their bodies as a series of interconnected systems. Her work ensures that every survivor and family member feels seen, supported, and empowered to reclaim their health through high quality person centered care.

Together, Chelsie and Kimberly bring a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach to NeuroCollective—blending clinical expertise, holistic wellness, and community-driven support. At its core, NeuroCollective exists to help individuals, caregivers, and communities move forward with clarity, confidence, and connection.
